Raw(kai) Tomato sambhanda(Chutney/gojju)
I just love this sambhanda/chutney prepared with raw tomato.This chutney have some authentic flavour which makes it very special.As raw tomato itself is sour in taste ,no need to add any additional tamarind for this recipe.Goes very well with hot plain rice,dosa,gulliappa.
- 1 Raw Tomato
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- salt
- 1" jaggery(optional)
- 4-6 red chilies
- 2 tsp urad dal
- 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
- 1 green chili(optional)
- 1-3 pieces hing/1/4 tsp hing powder(asafoetida)
- seasoning
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp urad dal
- 1 red chili broken into pieces
- pinch of hing
- curry leaves
Grind this with the cooked vegetable in blender into smooth paste .don't add too much water.
Finally give tadka(seasoning).
