Halwa-------Atta (Wheat Flour/ Godhi Hittina) ka Halwa


This is a very very healthy type halwa.My mom used to make this halwa after both of my delivery.they say it gives you strength which is very needed after your pregnancy as you become week.Also good for Back ache too.For this Halwa lot of ghee and meva(dry fruits )are needed .You can make this halwa for kids too.generally kids like .Overall it taste very good and very easy to make.
Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Wheat Flour(Atta)
  • 1/2- 3/4 cup jaggary or sugar(jaggary is better)
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamon powder
  • 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits like raisins,cashews,almond pieces,pista pieces,dates,walnuts etc
  • 1/4 cup milk(optional)
  • 1/2 cup water
Method:

Take a heavy bottom pan ,add 1 ts ghee ,raisins and cashews.fry this till cashews turns red and raisins fluffs out and keep it aside.Remove skin of almonds and pista and make slice of them.make small pieces of dates,walnuts etc.
Now in the same pan add 1 tbsp more of ghee and put atta in that.Roast this wheat flour on medium flame till nice aroma comes and flour color changes.

Remove this atta from pan.Now in that pan add milk,sugar and stirring bring this milk to boil.now add atta and stirring continuously mix them properly.

Now add 1 more tbsp of ghee,water and keep stirring. let atta be cooked properly for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.Stir them in between so that it won't burn at the bottom.

Add remaining ghee,all dry fruits,cardamon powder and stir continuously till the halwa start leaving the sides of the pan.

Serve this halwa hot decorated with more dry fruits.
